
Greensboro NC shopping Mall
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Belk has announced plans to close its store at Four months Town Centre early next year.
Belk spokeswoman Jessica M. Graham stated the company intends to close the shop in February 2015.
Graham believed to better meet up with the needs for the Triad market, the company intends to focus their particular sources and efforts on a major growth and remodeling for the Belk store at Friendly Center.
Manner styles change eventually and retail specialists state malls tend to be seeing a unique trend.
"On a national scale, we’ve positively seen customers move from a conventional mall into lifestyle center shopping. In Greensboro, aided by the Friendly Center, consumers are demonstrating a preference for that sorts of shopping", states Roger Beahm, with Wake Forest's Center for Retail Innovation.
Beahm states the move from traditional malls to lifestyle facilities are providing to customers.
"Those days are gone where individuals have lots of time going and spend browsing through the shopping center and shopping anyway the shops, " states Beahm.
The Belk at Friendly Center will reopen as a flagship shop this autumn.

"In our ongoing attempts to better serve and meet with the shopping requirements of our customers in Greensboro in addition to better Triad marketplace for the long term, we've decided to shut our Belk store at Four periods Mall in February 2015 and focus our sources and efforts from the significant expansion and remodeling of your Friendly Center store, which we are going to reopen this autumn as a Belk flagship shop."
