A guy had been detained at Cross Creek Mall after Fayetteville authorities got reports of a gunman on Thursday evening.

Police said the suspect ended up being equipped with an assault rifle and various films of ammo, and a Kevlar vest.

No shots had been fired, however the mall had been evacuated as a military of officers looked for an additional suspect.

On surveillance video clip, the alleged gunman had been seen walking into and out of the shopping mall entrance. Police said he had been subdued and arrested outside close to the entry.

Eyewitnesses stated it had been a minute of sheer anxiety.

In terms of a motive, police said the alleged gunman isn't chatting.
